Carriage Mounted Spreader Bars - This kind of mast comprises three sections as the name implies. The outer section is attached securely to the lift vehicle. The next section telescopes inside the mounted outside part and the internal most section telescopes inside the intermediate part. Both the middle and the interior part raise and the lift cylinders extend. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides in the inner part. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height as opposed to the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas like for instance doorways where overhead clearances are restricted. This particular mast type has a taller lowered height compared to an equivalent 3 stage mast or lift height quad mast.
